Plan your visit as a family, and learn about our activities for families

There’s lots to discover at the Bank of England Museum. Learn about the history of banknotes and what the Bank of England does today. Pick up a real gold bar or try your hand at cracking our safe!

We offer:

  • child-friendly displays and interactives throughout the museum

Visiting as a family

We look forward to welcoming your family to our museum. To help you plan your visit, here is some key information.

  • Baby changing facilities are available in our accessible toilet.
  • We don’t have a cloakroom for storing buggies, pushchairs and scooters, so we may ask you to take them with you as you go round the museum.
  • You are welcome to breast or bottle feed anywhere in the museum.
  • We don't have a cafe but there are places to buy drinks or sandwiches nearby. Eating and drinking are not allowed in the museum.
  • Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Pick up a free activity sheet from our information desk, or print it off ahead of time from home.

We have a range of activity sheets for children and young people including:
